WWII Mauser BYF 42 Luger P.08 9mm Pistol | All Matching

For sale; A WWII Mauser BYF 42 Luger P.08 9mm Pistol — Manufactured in 1942 by Mauser Werke, Oberndorf, this variation was made specifically for military sales to Germany. It has all matching serial numbers and shows clear, legible markings, including a Waffenampt 135 Eagle. It’s considered VG to Excellent; Its bluing is above 70%, with typical wear and scratches on the high points. The wood grips show a typical customization often found on wood grip lugers often done post war Germany. The bore is in great shape with strong rifling; it has darkness along the grooves but no visible pitting or defects. The frame is a late, short type with a stock lug, wide trigger, and narrow trigger guard and is marked “P.08” on the left side. The receiver is marked with a two-digit year date “42” located on the chamber. The thumb safety is serrated, and the upper position is marked “GESICHERT.” It features a front dorsal fin-shaped blade dovetail fit on the barrel rear fixed V-notch in the rear toggle link.
