You are considering a vintage Winchester Model 74 Barreled Action. It’s in good shape for its age with light wear from usage, storage, and handling. The metalwork is in nice condition and has not been refinished. There is no rust pitting or other major damage concerns. It was made in 1938 and has the serial number 4180 out of 406574. It comes with its breech bolt assembly and all of its receiver components but does not include any of its trigger components. The barrel has all the correct markings and they are still visible and look nice — it is chambered for 22 Short. The barrel measures 24-inches in length and the bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling and no fouling or pitting.
