Vietnam Era BDU-28 Cluster Bomb Training Munition | BLU-3/B Dummy Bomb

Vietnam Era BDU-28 Cluster Bomb Training Munition | BLU-3/B Dummy Bomb

You are considering a vintage Vietnam Era BDU-28 Cluster Bomb Training Munition. It’s in good condition with light wear from storage. These cluster munitions weren’t the most reliable when used back in Vietnam and had a pretty high failure rate. Even today, many unexploded bombs remain in the forests of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The actual bomb, the BLU-3/B, was supposed to detonate on any “hard” surface, including mud and water, after which it would explode and send 3.2mm steel bb’s (the same used in the claymore) in a circular pattern out to an effective range of 50-100 meters at a high velocity.
