Springfield USGI 1903A3 “Straight” Stock & Forend Set | Remington “RA”

You are considering a vintage Springfield USGI 1903 / 1903A3 “Straight” Stock & Forend Set. Marked “RA” for Remington Arms, this stock show inspection marks by Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood. It shows the circle “P” marking which are test firing proofs, along with several other markings shown in the photos. This is a straight-style stock, and made for the 1903A3; the A3 stocks are backward compatible with the M1903, whereas the 1903 stocks are not forward compatible. This stock and forend are unsanded and show clear markings and proofs. The total length is 40-inches. Included are the sling swivel assemblies, barrel/top cover bands, buttplate, and other metal hardware. The condition of this military stock set is considered VG to Excellent; it shows typical draglines, divots, and scarring consistent with military use, storage, and age, and no significant damage to note.
