You are considering a 12-Gauge Simson Suhl ‘Thuringen’ Double-Barrel Shotgun. This shotgun features a Cast-Off Stock that is in good condition with light scuffing and finish wear from age and normal usage with a 15-Inch LOP. The receiver still prominently features its game-scene engraving, and the bluing along the barrel has held up very well with only minor marring near the forend. The shiny-bored barrels measure 28″ in length, the right barrel features an Improved-Cylinder Choke, and the left features an Improved Modified Choke. They are capped with a simple brass bead sight. ‘Thuringen’ refers to the central German State of Thuringia, and with a Proof code of 966 it can be estimated that this shotgun was produced in September of 1966. This shotgun comes equipped with a cocking indicator, sling swivels, and a “Kick-EEZ” recoil pad.
