You are considering a 12-Gauge Simson Suhl ‘Thuringen’ Double-Barrel Project Shotgun. This project shotgun includes the Receiver, Trigger Assembly, Barrel Assembly, and Stock. It is notably missing the Left Cocking-Indicator, Trigger Guard, and Forend. The receiver features surface staining but retains the engravings — the 28.5″ Barrels have soft spots of fouling roughly halfway down and feature Full Chokes with a Brass Bead Sight. The included stock will require fitting to the receiver but presents in Good condition. ‘Thuringen’ refers to the central German State of Thuringia, and with a Proof code of 962 it can be estimated that this shotgun was produced in September of 1962.
