Savage No. 15 Rear Sight Assembly Savage Model 1899, 99 (Slightly Modified) | 3/8″

Savage No. 15 Rear Sight Assembly Savage Model 1899, 99 (Slightly Modified) | 3/8″

You are considering a vintage Savage No. 15 Early Rear Sight Assembly. These sights were standard on 1899 rifles until around 1920. They are a 3/8″ dovetail and will work with the Savage Model 99 and other rifles that use this size dovetail. The condition is Very Good; considering the age, this sight retains most of the factory bluing, showing some oxidation freckling in some areas. The eyepiece notch and bottom have been slightly modified. The double-step elevator is in great shape and retains the top retaining notches.
