For sale: Remington Model 11 Semi-Automatic 12-Gauge Shotgun. Modeled after John M. Brownings’ Auto-5 shotgun, the Model 11 has a 5-round capacity with four in the magazine and one in the chamber. The original Auto-5 design was first introduced in 1898; Browning then licensed his design to Remington in 1905 where production continued until 1947.
This example features hand checkering and a 15-inch length of pull. The blued metalwork shows most of its age on the high points and on the receiver, which shows minor oxidation. Similarly, the woodwork show wear and age throughout and has no significant damage or breaks. The barrel has a full choke and measures 30 inches in length; its bore is bright and shiny with minimal signs of use.
