You are considering a vintage Norinco Interarms Model 22 A.T.D. Rifle. Made from 1987 through 1999, the semi-automatic 22 ATD borrows its design from the Browning Model SA-22 and Remington Model 24 and 241. It is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and features a tubular magazine that installs through the buttstock. This rifle has a dovetail brass bead front sight and adjustable “U” notch folding rear sight. The rear sight folding spring is loose and will require rebending for proper tension. The metalwork features scroll engraving on the receiver sides and retains above 80% of the original bluing; it shows a small amount of scattered oxidation freckling and minor marring. The left side of the receiver has a medium-sized shallow dent; this does not affect its function. The metal buttplate is in Excellent condition. The woodwork has a glossy finish and features checkering on the wrist and forearm; overall, the condition of the wood is Fair; structurally, it is in Good condition with sharp checkering, but shows heavy cosmetic wear, including; scratches, gouges, dings, and clear coat checking throughout. The bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling and no visible corrosion.
