  • Markings/Details: Throughout the years, some Arisaka rifles were removed from military service and either transferred to Japanese schools as training weapons or sold to other countries; the Imperial Japanese Army would mark these rifles to denote they had been removed from service, their Chrysanthemums were either overstamped with the arsenal marking or a ring of small circles — Rifles given to schools for training purposes were marked with another symbol between the Mum and rifle Type markings; This rifle exhibits the school marking designation and its Mum has been overstamped; Included with this rifle is the cleaning rod as well as the rear sight; This rifle is, however, missing its magazine floor plate and lower buttplate screw –
  • Condition: Good; the metalwork retains above 75% bluing, showing handling wear on the high points, notably, the lower guard/magazine body and barrel band show a dark brown patina with some oxidation; the woodwork exhibits  a dark patina and typical scarring, bruising, and a few minor chips; the bore exhibits darkness with scattered corrosion and retains strong rifling; the action and all mechanics appear to function properly –
