You are considering a vintage Early 1960s Hi-Standard -Derringer – Mod. D-100 .22 Cal Pistol. This pistol features over/under 3.5″ barrels and is chambered in .22 L.R. It features a top-break design and is double action only. Upon pulling the trigger, the internal hammer strikes the firing pin of one of the barrels (usually the bottom barrel first), which in turn strikes the primer of the chambered round, initiating the firing sequence. For a second shot, the trigger is reset and pulled again, firing the round in the other barrel. The front and rear sight are integrated into the barrel and release lever. The grips are an off-white plastic held in place with a grip screw on each side. This is a compact pistol with an overall length of just 5.1 inches. The condition is considered Good to Good+ — The metalwork is above 70%, showing wear, scratches, and minor surface pitting on the high points. The grips show scuffing and drag marks throughout but do not have any cracks or chips. Both top and bottom bores appear in Very Good condition; they are bright with defined rifling and no notable corrosion.
