French WW1 Chassepot Bayonet & Scabbard

French WW1 Chassepot Bayonet & Scabbard

You are considering a vintage French WW1 Chassepot Bayonet & Scabbard. It’s in good shape with really nothing to note. The serial numbers are not matching, but the assembly is in good condition. The scabbard has a nice brown patina with no major rust pitting or deformities. The bayonet’s blade has not been sharpened and is in good condition with no damage to note. It has its maker’s markings and proof stamps. The cast ribbed brass handle is in good shape and the locking lug has all its components.
