  • Details: Manufactured from 1877 to 1909 with a total of 166,849 produced – Designed by William Mason, one of the inventors of the Single Action Army Revolver – The M1877 came in three calibers, each caliber variation adapted an unofficial name; The “Lightening” (.38 Long Colt), The “Rainmaker” (.32 Long Colt), and this example, the “Thunderer” chambered in .41 Long Colt –
  • Condition: This revolver is currently non-operational due to an issue with what appears to be related to the cylinder &/or hand — with the cylinder removed, the hammer and trigger cycle properly and the hand appears to move as designed, but once the cylinder is in place, the hammer stops halfway through the action — The metalwork is well-worn and shows a light to dark silver-gray patina with less than 10% finish remaining on the low points; the hard rubber stocks are checkered and show the Colt rampant horse logo, they shows typical wear and a small surface gouge; the bore retains sharp rifling with pitting scattered throughout, and some shininess between the corrosion –
