  • Markings/Details: This rifle contains all matching serial numbers, save for the stock which has s/n D2391 – throughout the rifle are numerous military proofs and markings – this rifle has been sporterized with its barrel measuring 22″ while its stock appears unmolested, with a length-of-pull measuring 13″ and the steel buttplate retaining a nice fit to the butt – it has a rear sling swivel but will require the installation/re-tapping of the front swivel – It sports the original Mauser blade front sight and “V” notched ladder rear sight which grads to 2000 meters –
  • Condition: Fair; the metalwork retains between 50%-75% blued finish with scattered moderate surface freckling – the receiver and bolt exhibit gray speckled patina; The woodwork exhibits scarring, scattered deep scratches, and bruising, with a minor interrupted crack near the front of the forend, and no significant structural damage; the bore is dark and frosty with some surface rust, a fair bit of the rust has knocked loose with several passes of a brush and would greatly benefit from a few more, that said, the rifling is strong with well-defined lands and grooves; the action cycles properly and all mechanics appear to be in working order — As with all used firearms, inspection by a trained gunsmith is advised –
