2003 Marlin Model 1894 44 Magnum or Special Lever-Action Project Rifle

You are considering a vintage 2003 Marlin Model 1894 44 Magnum or Special Lever-Action Project Rifle. It’s in fair condition for what it is. We’re listing this as a project rifle because it has quite a bit of rust pitting and oxidization concerns… the rust pitting is DEEP in some spots and will need work to be restored. This gun is more adequate as a “truck gun” or a gun to plink with, the bore is immaculate and it would make a good shooter.

The rifle’s woodwork is in quite decent shape, considering the metal, with no cracks or major damage outside of its finish starting to fade near the bottom of the buttstock. The metalwork is overall in fair condition but does have significant patches of rust pitting on the receiver and bolt. It also has patches of rust pitting on the underside of the barrel and the forend cap. The barrel measures 20-inches in length and includes its original front and rear sights. The bore, considering the rest of the gun’s condition, is actually in remarkably good shape and is bright and shiny with no fouling or pitting and strong rifling (it appears to have been barely shot, if shot at all). The action functions as it should, and everything locks up nice and tight.
