1930 Remington Model 12 Slide-Action 22 WRF Rifle

1930 Remington Model 12 Slide-Action 22 WRF Rifle

You are considering a vintage 1930 Remington Model 12 Slide-Action 22 WRF Rifle. It’s in good-honest-wear condition with a lot of good things to note. The rifle’s woodwork is all original and holding up nicely with a few scuffs and dings but no major damage concerns — some of the finish is starting to peel (note: the forend slide is missing its right-side screw). The metalwork, likewise, is also in good condition, with most of its original blue finish still intact. There is some light surface oxidization on the magazine tube and underneath the barrel; neither presents a problem at the moment. The barrel measures 24-inches in length and includes its original front blade sight and read adjustable leaf sight. The barrel was drilled and tapped for a scope but currently has dummy screws filling those holes. The bore is slightly dark but shiny, with good rifling and no major fouling or pitting concerns. It is chambered for “22 Remington Special,” which is the same as the 22 Winchester Rimfire, but with a round-tipped bullet instead of flat-nosed — you CAN chamber 22 WRF in this rifle as finding 22 Rem Special is nearly impossible. The action is sound, and everything functions as it should.
